Importing Data From File

Overview

Importing data from files is a critical feature that allows you to transfer existing information into ClosingDealz. Our system supports the import of both CSV and Excel files, making it easy to move your data from various sources.

Supported Columns

When you import a file, our system intelligently maps the columns in your file to the corresponding fields in the CRM. Below is a list of the standard columns we support:

Lead

  • Company

  • Industry

  • Employee Count

  • Website

  • LinkedIn

  • Twitter

  • Facebook

  • Company Email

  • Company Phone Number

  • Address

  • Notes

  • Labels

Contact

  • Name

  • Last Name

  • Role

  • Email

  • Phone Number

  • Address

  • Website

  • LinkedIn

  • Twitter

  • Facebook

  • Notes

  • Labels

How It Works

Start by simply dragging and dropping your file into the import interface for a hassle-free upload. Our system will then automatically identify and map your data columns to the corresponding CRM fields. For any columns that don’t match a recognizable field, you’ll have the option to assign them to the 'Notes' section, ensuring that no valuable data is left behind.

Column Mapping

The import interface provides a clear preview of your data, enabling you to confirm and adjust how columns map to CRM fields. This ensures that all imported data is accurately organized, maintaining the integrity of your information. Additionally, you can easily remove any unnecessary columns by clicking the 'X' button. This step streamlines the import process and ensures a seamless transition into the CRM.

Review & Edit

In the review step, a spreadsheet-like interface allows you to view all lead and contact data at a glance. You can directly edit any entries, correct errors, or make adjustments as needed. At the top of the interface, you'll find two powerful tools:

  • Auto Format: Automatically formats all data for consistency.

  • Merge: Identifies and merges duplicate rows to avoid redundant entries.

Once you're satisfied with the data, simply click the Import button to complete the process. This step ensures that your data is clean, accurate, and ready for use in the CRM.
